I am passionate about helping teens and young adults make sense of life and who they are becoming. I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of counseling, so I take time to understand you beyond what you’re struggling with. My goal is to build a connection where you can be real, even when things feel messy or uncertain. Whether you’re carrying past trauma, navigating relationships, going through a life transition, or still discovering who you are, I provide a space where you don’t have to filter yourself or have it all figured out. I meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels manageable for you. Together, we will make sense of patterns, explore what’s underneath them, and find ways to move forward that reflect who you are and how you want to live.

I am deeply committed to helping individuals thrive emotionally, academically, and personally. My background as a school counselor and in private practice has given me the opportunity to support children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families as they navigate anxiety, grief, relationship stress, and major life transitions. My approach is integrative and client-centered, drawing from narrative, existential, person-centered, and solution-focused therapies as well as Gottman Method and IFS. I believe that healing begins with connection, and my goal is to create a safe, affirming space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward with confidence.
Music has always been a source of connection and peace for me—I sang in a co-ed a cappella group during and after college and still find joy in making music with others. I was born in the UK and spent part of my childhood overseas in Russia and Uzbekistan, which gave me a strong appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and recharging through meaningful connections.

CURRENT AVAILABILITY | Telehealth only: Mon/Thurs mornings/afternoons, Wed afternoons
Please note: I offer virtual sessions for clients located in Virginia, Mondays through Thursdays from 11am-6pm. I see individuals (16+) with a focus on young adult women.
Approaches: Attachment Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy
I specialize in helping young adult women and teen girls through personal challenges, life transitions, and the stress that can come with trying to figure everything out. Whether you’re stepping into college life, figuring out your next move after graduation, or feeling stuck somewhere in between – you don’t have to do it alone. My areas of focus include low self-esteem, anxiety, attachment dynamics, relationship issues, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and life transitions (such as starting college, post-grad life, a new career, or increased independence). I also support clients experiencing burnout, emotional overwhelm, or the effects of past trauma.
I take an approach based in connection, acceptance, emotional insight, and practical tools. I’ll meet you with compassion and openness as we work through concerns in a way that feels real and doable for you. I deeply value BIPOC representation in the mental health field and reducing stigma around seeking support. I don’t see therapy as a place to “fix” you, but as a space that can hold both the hard and the hopeful – where we can explore your challenges and uncertainties, celebrate your progress, and make space for humor and joy alongside the work.
I’m a pre-licensed clinician under the supervision of Jennifer Walker, LPC, and a Master’s candidate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at William & Mary.

Harley Perri Resident In Counseling
I especially enjoy working with tweens, teens, and young adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodiversity, and LGBTQIA+ identity-related challenges. I’m drawn to helping clients during these formative years because so much growth and self-discovery happen during this time. My approach is strength-focused, meeting clients where they are and helping them recognize their resilience and inner capabilities. I often incorporate elements of DBT to support emotional regulation, mindfulness, and distress tolerance, as well as creative tools like music, art, film, or storytelling to help clients express themselves authentically. My goal is for each session to feel safe, validating, and empowering—where clients leave with something tangible to support their growth and healing.
Outside of counseling, I’m usually working on a home renovation project—even if I’m learning as I go! I love the process of problem-solving and creating something new. I’m a big fan of fall weather and everything cozy—sweatshirts, crisp air, camping trips, and “cozy video games” before bed are some of my favorite ways to unwind.

“I feel like everyone else has life figured out except me.” Many of the teens and young adults I work with start therapy feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to begin, wondering if counseling will actually help, or simply feeling awkward about talking to someone new.
My goal is to meet you where you are and create a space where you can feel comfortable, be yourself, and talk about what’s really going on. We take things one step at a time—making sense of what you’re feeling and what you’ve been carrying. Along the way, we focus on your strengths and finding small, realistic steps that help you feel more confident moving forward.
Over time, my hope is that you begin to feel more comfortable being yourself and more confident navigating what life throws your way. I’ve learned that when people feel heard and supported, it becomes easier to make sense of their experiences, trust their voice, and take steps forward that feel right for them.

I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are navigating the lasting impacts of childhood trauma, life transitions, and stress related to identity, family dynamics, or past experiences. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck-overwhelmed by anxiety, low self-worth, or difficulty regulating emotions-often rooted in unresolved early experiences.
I believe that healing begins with being truly seen and understood in a safe, supportive space.
My goal is to help clients make sense of their experiences, build emotional resilience, and develop tools to move forward with confidence. My approach is warm, proactive, and grounded in the belief that change is always possible, no matter how long someone has been struggling.
With nine years as a school counselor and nearly two decades teaching dance to teens, I bring both clinical expertise and deep relational understanding to my work. I also draw on my personal background growing up in a military family and supporting my husband, a combat veteran and first responder. These experiences help me connect authentically with clients from all walks of life, especially those who’ve carried invisible burdens for too long.
Whether you are a teen adjusting to high school pressures or a parent trying to break intergenerational cycles, I’m here to walk alongside you. Together, we’ll focus not only on what’s been hard, but on what’s possible.
I meet with parents and caregivers for consultation and support as part of the therapeutic process. I offer a free 30-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.

I strive to help clients overcome the fear, overwhelm, and self-doubt that many children, teens, adults, and families experience when beginning therapy. It’s common for clients to feel emotionally overloaded, misunderstood, or unsure how to express what they’re going through. Therapy can sometimes feel like pressure to “fix” things quickly, leaving clients struggling to understand their emotions or feeling disconnected from parts of themselves they don’t yet know how to access. This can make the process feel intimidating or discouraging before it even begins.
I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for each client’s inner world. Through play therapy, I create a developmentally appropriate and engaging space where clients can express themselves safely and authentically. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to build insight and practical coping skills, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation and resilience, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients understand and care for all parts of themselves with compassion. I meet clients at their own pace—honoring their strengths while gently guiding growth. I also work collaboratively with families, viewing resistance and big emotions as meaningful and important forms of communication.
Over time, clients begin to feel safer, more accepted, and more empowered in the therapeutic process. As trust builds, they develop greater emotional awareness, stronger coping skills, and a more connected sense of self. Therapy becomes a space for both connection and growth. My goal is for clients and families to leave feeling supported, empowered, and hopeful—knowing that meaningful change is possible, one step at a time.
